Microsoft Teams Introduces Urgent Message Notification capability

Want to get your colleagues attention to something that is important within a conversation or to get your managers attention on an urgent request from a client?

Microsoft Teams now introduces the capability of doing just that. The new feature within the platform helps you mark a message as Standard, Important or Urgent.

Standard message is a regular message that is sent as a default.

Important message will be marked important with a red exclamation mark.

Urgent message is where the recipient will be notified every 2 mins for the next 20 mins or till the person responds.

Microsoft has also announced that they will be running a promotion from July 2019 until December 2019 where all teams users will be able to send unlimited priority notifications.

Starting from January 1st, 2020, only licensed users will be able to send priority notifications based on the type of subscription they hold.

Note: Your administrator needs to enable urgent messages.
